Residents of Sunpedh village where two kids of a Dalit family were allegedly burnt alive by upper-caste Rajputs on Wednesday blocked the Faridabad-Ballabhgarh highway, demanding the arrest of the perpetrators.
The villagers placed the corpses of the children on the highway and sat in protest.
"There was a fight between two groups last year, after which some people were jailed. Now, after an year these Thakurs set ablaze the house of a Dalit. They locked the house from outside. We will continue our protests till they are punished," said Inderpal, one of the protestors.
Two children of a Dalit family died and their parents suffered burn injuries yesterday after their home was set on fire.
Tension gripped the locality after the incident.
The mother of the children is battling for life at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital.
