French champions Paris Saint-Germain were made to wait for a Champions League last-16 spot following their 1-1 home draw with Belgian side Anderlecht after their Group C clash on Tuesday at their home ground, Parc des Princes.
PSG lead Group C with 10 points from four games, three ahead of Greek club Olympiakos who beat Portugal's Benfica 1-0, while Benfica have four points and Anderlecht are bottom with one point. According to Sport24, Demy De Zeeuw opened the scoring for Anderlecht in the 68th minute, only for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to equalise two minutes later from inside the area.
Despite their early domination, PSG failed to break the deadlock in the first half as Lucas, who was in the starting line-up after Edinson Cavani was ruled out injured, lacked accuracy, the report added.
