Paris Saint-Germain star footballer Angel Di Maria has expressed his shock over a string of deadly attacks that has rocked the French capital, following Argentina's soccer World Cup tie against Brazil.

Condemning the tragic attacks, the 27-year-old attacking midfielder said that it was incredible, adding that such things have to stop, Sport24 reported.

A minute's silence was observed before the kick-off to pay tributes to victims of the violence.

Argentina and Brazil played out a 1-1 draw at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
