Lashing out at Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shrikant Sharma on Monday said the former was indulging in politics of 'mudslinging'.

"Rahul Gandhi is a brand ambassador of corruption, commission and bad governance. If there is any truth in the allegations he is levelling against Sushma Swaraj then why is he running away from the Parliament," Sharma told ANI.

"Instead of levelling allegations on her outside the Parliament, he should say those things in the Parliament, then he will get answers for it. Rahul should stop indulging in politics of mudslinging and tell what deal did he have with Lalit Modi," he added.

Rahul Gandhi had earlier today said that in order for Parliament to function, Swaraj should let the country know how much money has been credited into her account by former IPL chief Lalit Modi.

"Please explain to the country and the people of India, how much money has been credited to you and your family's bank account by Mr. Lalit Modi? Tell it straight, the House will function," said Rahul Gandhi.

With just four days of the monsoon session of Parliament left, the Congress has made it clear that the protests inside the House will continue if the government did not accept their demand of removing the ministers and chief ministers involved in Lalit Modi issue and Vyapam scam.
