Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon today said that he was not in support of the Antony Committee Report, which reportedly gave a clean chit to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the party's poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections.
Memon said that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi must take responsibility for the party's poll debacle.
"The way this report has come out, I am not fully in support of it, because to absolve Rahul Gandhi of all blame is not right. I think the whole organisation is responsible for it. The Congress president and vice-president must take responsibility for the defeat," Memon told ANI.
"It was a failure of the whole institution. The whole party was defeated badly. So instead of giving them a clean chit and again starting sycophancy, it would be better that everyone takes their responsibility. Rahul should himself take responsibility and try to make the party rise again," he added.
