Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi reached the Jolly Grant Airport here for his onward trek to Kedarnath.

The Gandhi scion, who returned to the national capital on April 16 after a sabbatical lasting almost two months, had announced that he will undertake the two-day long trek earlier this week.

According to reports, Rahul Gandhi will be accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and senior Congress leader Ambika Soni.

He is also expected to inspect the reconstruction work in the areas devastated by the 2013 floods.
