Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop protecting absconding liquor baron Vijay Mallya, and instead do something for the poor, deprived and farmers of Uttar Pradesh.
Gandhi said PM Modi is duping the poor, honest and hard-working people to help the 50 super-rich families.
He questioned Prime Minister Modi of waiving off the debts of Mallya worth Rs 1,200 crores.
"People of UP need a government that will give jobs and work for the needy," he added.
The sixth phase of the election will take place on March 6.
