Railway Board chairman Arunendra Kumar today said that detailed planning has been done to benefit common man from the Railway Budget.

Kumar told ANI, "What we would like to show in this budget is the use of technology for the benefit of common man in almost all areas of working. Issues related to ticketing, catering, safety, punctuality or any other related area will be looked after."

"The presidential address has laid down the directives for the railway budget and what we will be seeing is the manifestations of these directives of the Prime Minister. The budget is for the benefit of common man, same kind of vision will be shown in this budget," he added.

The Railway Budget for 2014-15 will be presented today by Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda.
