Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) [India], Sept.13 (ANI):Former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki today described former governor J P Rajkhowa as a person who ended up being a sacrificial lamb of the Bharatiya Janata Party's brand of vendetta politics.

Recalling the adage 'As you sow, so shall reap you (Jaisi karni waisi bharni)', Tuki, who had to resign as chief minister for a second time despite the historic July 13 Supreme Court verdict that had restored his government, told ANI, "Rajkhowa misused the highest office of Raj Bhawan and all the constitutional powers acting as pawn to serve the BJP's devilish design to dismiss a people's mandated government, which had evoked nation-wide condemnation."

He wondered as to why Rajkhowa did not resign on July 13 itself.

"If he would not have created the political crisis, the state's development would have not been halted and the present situation would have never come. He not only invited the wrath of all Arunachalees, but also put the BJP-led Central Government in such an embarrassing situation which forced it to recommend his removal to President Pranab Mukherjee."

To substantiate his claim, he further said, "There could not be a greater irony for the BJP-led NDA Govt at the Centre, which has been claiming to be a champion of cooperative federalism."

"It is wise for the BJP to learn democratic lessons as enshrined in the Constitution and it should be known that numerous Congress leaders had sacrificed their lives to free India from the clutches of Brithshers," Tuki added.
