Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate International Conference on Cooperative Federalism here today.
The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh will also address the inaugural session of the conference.
The two-day Conference is being hosted by the Inter State Council Secretariat (ISCS), Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with the Forum of Federations, UNDP and the World Bank.
The conference, which is the first of its kind in the country, is expected to come out with recommendations to foster cooperative federalism in the Indian context.
Several senior policy makers and government officials from the Centre and State, academics and practitioners and think tanks in India and international experts from Australia, Ethiopia, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Canada will share their views in the Conference.
