Rajya Sabha prorogued by President Mukherjee

The Rajya Sabha was on Sunday prorogued by President Pranab Mukherjee.

This marks the end of the 234 session of Rajya Sabha that began on February 23, 2015 as a part of the Budget session of Parliament and continued till March 20, 2015.

Earlier on Friday, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs had met and recommended prorogation of the Rajya Sabha.
