West Indies skipper Denesh Ramdin believes that his players should have the self belief to counter the top-ranked South African Test side in the Boxing Day Test in Port Elizabeth.
West Indies incurred a heavy defeat by an innings and 220 runs against a staggering total of 552 by the hosts in the first Test in Centurion last week.
Ramdin said that it was more mental because a couple of players got starts in the first innings and a few more in the second, adding that his players needed to make big hundreds by carrying on so as to put the team under no pressure, Sport24 reported.
Ramdin believes that replicating a victory against Proteas like they had done it during the Boxing Day Test in 2007 would require an all-round team effort and self belief from his players, the report added.
