Former Pakistan Test skipper Rameez Raja has requested veteran batsman Younis Khan to leave Misbah-ul-Haq's beleaguered World Cup side following back-to-back debacles against India and West Indies.
Pakistan lost their World Cup opener against arch-rivals India by 76 runs in Adelaide last week, before Misbah's men were thrashed by massive 150 runs by the West Indies on Saturday.
Younis hasn't been able to justify his World Cup selection as he could only score six runs against India and was dismissed for a duck against the West Indies.
Reflecting on Younis' performance, Raja said that he beg of Younis to leave the ODI side now and thanked him for his services to Pakistan cricket, the Dawn reported.
Rameez added that Younis should tell the management he should be rested.
