Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Wednesday slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led- Government for being a mere follower of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) decisions, saying that it was unfortunate, as RSS was a communal organisation.

"RSS is the real decision maker for the BJP Government, while BJP acts as their follower, and this has become a serious issue for the society," Alvi told ANI.

"Today the spokesperson of the BJP and Narendra Modi will attend the meeting. There will be a discussion by the RSS on Government's performance and they will instruct the Centre as to what to do in the future," he added.

"Our Government is going on the path of destruction. RSS is a communal organisation and if they are gain more importance than the Government, then it will be unfortunate," he said.

Earlier today, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, BJP President Amit Shah and Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu among others, were present for the RSS-BJP coordination committee meeting with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's Working President Praveen Togadiya.

Speaking after the RSS-BJP coordination committee meeting, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav said earlier, that the reports of One Rank One Pension and Ram Mandir being on the agenda of the meeting, were absolutely baseless and false.

"Ram Mandir and OROP was not a matter of discussion today, and any report saying that it happened is absolutely false. OROP is a government policy and its implementation is a government matter," Madhav said.
