Rashtrapati Bhavan to be closed for public on May 24-25

In view of preparations being made for the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, the Rashtrapati Bhavan will remain closed for tours on May 24 and 25.

There will also be no Change of Guards Ceremony on May 24, 2014.

Modi's swearing-in ceremony, to be held at the forecourt of the historic Rashtrapati Bhavan, will take place on Monday and is likely to be attended by as many as 3,000 guests.

India has invited leaders of all South Asian countries, including Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to the oath-taking ceremony.
