Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has expressed the club's interest in Tottenham Hotspurs football star Gareth Bale and has warned Spurs that the player could be lured into the Spanish club, indicating a bid in the next few weeks.
Perez has carried out some significant transfers till date including Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Sun reports.
Stating that Bale is one of Europe's great players, Perez said that Real always likes great players.
Perez said that Real is looking forward to improving their squad in the next few weeks but is aware that Bale's prospective transfer might take months, adding that the club is prepared for the long haul.
Meanwhile, Perez insisted that Real's forward Cristiano Ronaldo will end his football career at Real and will thus stay on at the club.
