Repoll in 3 more MP booths, bye-polls in Tamil Nadu's Yercaud constituency

The Election Commission has ordered repolling in three more assembly polling booths in Madhya Pradesh.

Repolling will take place in the Kalibavdi polling booth of Manawar segment, booth number 61 of Bhopal South-West, and booth number 93 of Bhopal Madhya segment tomorrow.

Repolling was held in six polling booths of five assembly segments on Monday.

Meanwhile, voting is underway for bye-polls in Tamil Nadu's Yercaud constituency.

In Yercaud, it is a direct contest between ruling AIADMK's Saroja and DMK's Maran.

Nine independents are also in the fray.

The none of the above (NOTA) option is being given for the first time in Tamil Nadu elections.

In all, 119,190 male voters and 121,094 female voters will exercise their franchise in the polls in the constituency.

The Election Commission has set up 290 polling booths for voters to cast their votes.

Polling in 269 booths will be monitored by web cameras and in 21 polling booths situated in remote hilly areas micro observers have been appointed by Election Commission to monitor polling process.

Over 3000 security personnel have been deployed to ensure peaceful' polling.

Votes will be counted on December 8.
