Oscar winner Richard Dreyfuss is set to play the disgraced financier Bernard Lawrence "Bernie" Madoff in the upcoming ABC miniseries 'Madoff.'
The show is inspired by ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross' reports and book The Madoff Chronicles, and would portray the rise and fall of the imprisoned fraud and the 65 billion dollars Ponzi scheme he invented, Deadline.com reported.
Ben Robbins penned the project, which Linda Berman and Joe Pichirallo are executive producing.
