The counting of votes for the RK Nagar bypolls, which recorded a poll percentage of 74.4 percent, is set to begin at 8 am tomorrow.
"The counting will take place at 8 am tomorrow, there will be around 17 rounds. All arrangements are in place, we're geared up to complete counting in a peaceful and successful manner," said Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Saxena.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who is contesting from Chennai for the first time, is the main candidate in this constituency.
The RK Nagar seat fell vacant following the resignation of P. Vetrivel.
The DMK, PMK and VCK have boycotted the by-election for various reasons.
A total of 28 candidates are in the fray in this assembly segment.
