In order to create awareness among the common people about the steps to be taken during any disaster a mega awareness programme was recently organized in Agartala.
The programme was organized by the state revenue department in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force, State disaster management authorities of Tripura, Tripura fire service, Indian red cross society and other departments.
Several tableaus and vehicles equipped with the latest equipments used during disaster were demonstrated in the procession that went through the streets of Agartala.
