Robert De Niro may reteam with Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell in upcoming Fox 2000 project 'Joy.'
The film, which is based on the story of Joy Mangano, the inventor the Miracle Mop, would see Lawrence play the title role, while De Niro, 71, would play Mangano's father, if the deal is sealed, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
De Niro, Lawrence and Russell, who's rewriting the script by Annie Mumolo for the film, had worked in the 2012's Silver Linings Playbook, which had won the actor an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, while the 24-year-old 'Hunger Games' star won best actress.
The project, which has been is anticipated to begin filming in early February 2015, would tell the story of Mangano's transformation from a single mother of 3 kids in Long Island to a QVC star.
John Davis and John Fox would produce through Fox-based Davis Entertainment along with Ken Mok.
