Robert De Niro to play J Law's father in David O. Russell's 'Joy'
Robert De Niro has confirmed that he will star in David O. Russell's 'Joy'.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, De Niro, who was in Rome to promote a documentary about his own late father, confirmed that he will the play the role of a father.
In 'Joy', Jennifer Lawrence will play the role of Miracle Mop creator Joy Mangano, a single mother of three who became one of America's most successful entrepreneurs.
De Niro will play the role of Mangano's father.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres for Christmas 2015.
