Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo moved ahead of his fiercest rival Lionel Messi in the Champions League scoring charts during his side's 2-1 defeat against Juventus on Tuesday night.
The Portuguese international scored his 76th Champions League goal-one more than his rival-in the 27th minute with a close-range finish to equalize the scoreline before Carlos Tevaz netted the decisive goal for the Serie A champions through a clinical penalty kick, the Mirror reported.
With the win, the Italian club holds a slender advantage when they square off against the title holders at Bernabeu in the second-leg tie next week. Messi, meanwhile, has the opportunity to overtake Ronaldo in the goal charts when Barcelona take on Bayern Munich in the other semi-final on Wednesday night.
