The Bharatiya Janata Party's rally at Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, on Tuesday witnessed an unruly crowd after actor Ajay Devgn failed to reach the venue on time.

Around 12 people, including some policemen, were injured as the police baton charged to control the stone pelting by the crowd.

Devgn, who was supposed to address the meeting for BJP candidate Sunil Kumar, came around 1 pm instead of the scheduled 10:30 am.

The crowd vented ire by throwing chairs and stones on the policemen deployed on duty.

The actor waved at the crowd from the helicopter but did not land.
