The Nepal Parliament witnessed high drama and chaos on Sunday when the Speaker declined to give time to the Parliamentarians who wanted to raise questions in the House.
The parliamentary meeting on Sunday was one of the most awaited, as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's address was re-scheduled and focused on swearing-in of lawmaker Resham Chaudhary.
With the start of the session, House Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara invited Prime Minister Oli for the address which lasted for about an hour, after which the chaos erupted in the Federal Parliament.
The opposition demanded time to raise question over Prime Minister Oli's address but were denied and came to rostrum demanding time to raise their questions though the Speaker claimed it to be an update about the government's functioning. But the opposition claimed it to be of public importance and obliged to be raised questions.
At the conclusion of Prime Minister Oli's address, Nepali Congress members Dilendra Prasad Badu, Minendra Rijal and Gagan Thapa had raised their hands demanding time.
Following the chaos, the Parliament has been adjourned till Wednesday.
