Russia Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov on Wednesday called on Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Colonel (retired) Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in the national capital.
The two ministers shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, before discussing matters of interest to both nations.
"A delegation of Information Technology Ministry from Russia came to meet us today. We have decided to start a student exchange programs with them. We have much to learn from them," Colonel Rathore said, after the meeting.
New Delhi and Moscow have indentified the enhancing of trade and economic cooperation between India and Russia as a key priority. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russia President Vladimir Putin, during 15th Annual Summit between the two nations, set a target of USD 30 billion bilateral trade by 2025.
