Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Thursday.
Tendulkar apprised Prime Minister Modi of his contribution towards the Swachh Bharat initiative, in response to the latter's invitation to him on October 2. He also informed Prime Minister Modi that he had extended the chain by inviting others to participate.
Tendulkar said that he is looking forward to adopting a village under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
He also expressed keenness to work towards development of sports in schools and colleges.
