French defender Bacary Sagna is set to sign a new two-year contract at Arsenal, according to reports.
According to the Mirror, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger expects all problems to be resolved within the next fortnight after a long-running stalemate over Sagna's future.
Sagna, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain, the report said.
Even Sagna's team mates feared he was definitely off in the summer but Arsenal have resurrected contract talks and, according to Wenger, there has been a breakthrough, the report added.
France international Sagna has been outstanding this season and knows he could get a bigger pay day elsewhere, especially if he is on a free transfer but the Gunners are now clearly optimistic he will stay, the report further said.
