Soon after the Jodhpur High Court on Wednesday acquitted the Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the Arms Act case, his fans celebrated the decision.
"The decision of the court is fair and I am also in favour of Salman Khan as I'm one of his biggest fan since class ninth. I came here to see his with my friends and saw him through a distance. And he will come back on January 25, we will surely come to see him again," said a very happy fan Kiran.
"It's really good that Salman is acquitted and I wish him all the best," said another fan Manisha.
Claiming to be one of the biggest fans of Salman, a businessman Raghav Sharma, "I want to congratulate him for going back home safe. I wish him all the best and good luck. He is a fair person and God is with fair people."
Earlier in the day, the Jodhpur Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court acquitted the actor in connection with the case.
The Jodhpur District session court had earlier on January 9 fixed January 18 for announcing its decision on the same.
The date for pronouncing of the judgment was fixed after the court heard final arguments from both sides on January 9.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit directed the actor to be present in the court during pronouncement of the order.
A case against Khan was registered under the Arms Act earlier in October 1998 for alleged use and possession of arms with an expired license during alleged poaching of two black bucks in Kankani village of Rajasthan.
The case was filed by the state's forest department.
Earlier in 2007, the actor spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail.
