Sarah Jessica Parker will be making a TV comeback with limited-series adaptation of a crime thriller, 'Busted
The 49-year-old 'Sex and the City' star would be playing one of the two leads in the TV drama, which is based on a nonfiction book by investigative reporters Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
The story archives the reporters' victorious efforts to expose one of the biggest corruption scandals in Philadelphia's history, where the 10-month series of articles titled 'Tainted Justice' had also earned them a Pulitzer Prize.
David Frankel, who had helmed a number of episodes of 'Sex and the City' as well, would be directing as well as executive produce the series, while Don Roos will jot the pilot.
SKE's president Jim Tauber, and Carla Hacken, president of production, said that they were thrilled that the adaptation was their first television project, and they couldn't be happier about Parker joining the team.
