Saroj Khan recently inaugurated the "India's First Dance Week" festival in Mumbai.
This dance festival is an initiative by Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar.
Khan, who seemed elated for the unique initiative, said, "Today he has started, next time someone else will. Dance will get more appreciation. Earlier, people were bit apprehensive of learning dance, it was a taboo."
"No family used to allow their kids for dance. Today, see where dance has reached. No, when you wake, then its dance, when you sleep, then it's dance", the ace choreographer added.
The dance fest will comprise of dance competitions like Folk Dance, Classical Dance, Couple Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Bollywood Dance.
