The eighth part of 'Saw' franchise is all set to hit the cinemas in October 2017.
Officially named 'Saw Legacy,' its filming will commence in Toronto this summer.
The screenplay is written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger and the horror flick will be directed by the twin brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, who have Ethan Hawke-starrer 'Daybreakers' to their credit, reports The Independent.
Earlier this year, Lionsgate revealed it was to re-launch the 'Saw' franchise, which appeared to draw to a close with seventh outing 'Saw 3D' in 2010.
However, no more details regarding whether it would be a direct continuation or reboot, is revealed yet but speculations are that like other 'Saw' films, it too will revolve around Jigsaw killer (Tobin Bell), who traps his victims in situations wherein they must "choose" to either live or die.
