SC adjourns hearing on Teesta Setlavad's bail plea till July 24

The Supreme Court today adjourned the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea of activist Teesta Setalvad and her husband Javed Anand till July 24 in connection with the case against her firm for allegedly receiving foreign donations in violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).

On Monday, Teesta had recorded her statement before the CBI in connection with the case.

The investigating agency had earlier registered a case against Setalvad for allegedly receiving funds from foreign entities without prior permission from the government.
