The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the review petition of a man convicted for raping and killing a ten-year-old girl and her minor brother in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu in 2010.
A three-judge bench dismissed the review plea with a majority judgment.
In 2012, a trial court had convicted him and his conviction was upheld by the Madras High Court two years later.
Subsequently, he approached the Supreme Court to seek relief. Later, the apex court also confirmed his death sentence.
