The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to the six states of Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir on a PIL praying for the release and rehabilitation of more than 300 'normal' persons residing in different mental hospitals of the country.
The petitioner has stated in the said PIL that around 300 normal persons are living a pathetic life along with the mentally ill persons in more than seven different mental hospitals of the country.
