In a fresh bid of verbal volleys for analogies between Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party, the saffron party on Sunday took a jibe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's version of SCAM and stated that former is called as the scandalous and 'scamster party'.

"The SP, which is the short name for Samajwadi Party actually stands for scamster party, scandalous party. Mulayam Singh himself has called Akhilesh Yadav and his government to be corrupt on umpteen occasions. Allahabad High Court has passed serious strictures against his government and calling them out to be corrupt," BJP spokesperson G. V. L. Narsimha Rao told ANI here.

Upping the ante, Rao alleged that Akhilesh had himself removed the ministers on charges of corruption and subsequently reinstated them after some settlement and also took potshots at the newly formed SP-Congress alliance.

"Akhilesh Yadav has no face to show to the people of Uttar Pradesh and today, corrupt Samajwadi Party has teamed up with notoriously, internationally corrupt Indian National Congress led by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, and this alliance only represents the worst culture of corruption and criminalization of politics," Narsimha Rao told ANI.

Earlier, Prime minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav engaged in a verbal duel charging each other with 'scamming' UP's electorate.

On one hand, Prime Minister Modi, while addressing audiences at a public rally in Meerut, redefined SCAM as 'Samajwadi, Congress, Akhilesh and Mayawati' and said the BJP was fighting against these four forces in poll-bound UP.

On the other, Akhilesh, holding back-to-back poll rallies in Kanpur Dehat and Auraiyya, came up with his own counter analogy to Modi's version.

Asking the crowds not to fall for the BJP's promise of "acche din", the UP CM said, "Scam means, Save the Country from Amit Shah, Modi.
