Security forces on Wednesday achieved major success when they bust a militant hideout in Baramulla district of North Kashmir and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition but no news of arrests of militants were heard.
Sources said that after a specific intelligence input 52 Rashtriya Rifles of counter insurgency Kilo Force and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police raided a militant hideout in Chandoosa forest area which falls in the Baramulla district.
In the supposed raid one AK-47, one AK magazine, 94 AK rounds, one rifle, two magazine, six Rifle rounds, one pistol, one pistol magazine, 7 pistol rounds, one bag, two pheran, one light and one torch was recovered from the hideout which could have been used to disrupt the coming parliamentary polls in the state," sources added.
