Selena Gomez wants to become more "bad ass" for upcoming film roles, as she wants to "surprise" people.

The 21-year-old singer-actress said that she has to do things that people don't expect her to do, instead of being a part of the next teen comedy because she has already done that, Contactmusic reported.

Gomez, who has been in an on/off relationship with popstar Justin Bieber, said that she wants to dye her hair black as she thinks it would be fun and good for her.
