Selfie, bromance, bling and chillax are among 5,000 new words that have been recently added to the Scrabble dictionary.
The new version also includes other urban slangs like of buzzkill, sudoku and mixtape, which will be on sale from next Monday, the Daily Express reported.
The fifth edition of the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, which has been updated for the very first time in more than 10 years, will be available for use in competitions from December 1.
Among the highest potential scorers from the list of new additions is quinzhee, a shelter made by hollowing out a pile of snow.
Peter Sokolowski, a lexicographer and editor-at-large for publisher Merriam-Webster, hopes the changes will encourage younger players to take up Scrabble as the technology words make it more attractive to them.
