Selfie, twerk named among top annoying words

'Selfie' and 'twerk' is one of the words which have made it to the top of most annoying words list.

The list, which has been compiled by the Michigan University and 2000 nominations, includes 'Twittersphere', 't-bone', 'Obamacare' 'intellectually/morally bankrupt' and anything 'on steroids', the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

"Twerk" or "twerking", which is a sexually provocative way of dancing, gained popularity after Miley Cyrus' controversial performance at the MTV VMAs, while "Selfie" is a term that describes a self-taken photo, often from a smartphone.
