Senior Congress leader Makhan Lal Fotedar passed away on Thursday in Gurugram.
Fotedar was famously known as Chanakya of Indian politics.
Fotedar had been a close aide of former prime minister Indira Gandhi. He also held important Cabinet posts during the Congress rule.
Fotedar also served as a Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha.
Fotedar has been survived by three sons and two daughters.
