Sensex crashes 379 pts pre-Diwali, Nifty ends weak
In a pre-Diwali trade, the market fell sharply in last hour of trade. The Nifty ended at lowest closing since September 8. The nifty crashed 1131.85 points at 7783.35.
Sensex on the other hand slipped 378.14 points or 1.4 percent at 25743.26.
Auto stocks held steady with Maruti, Bajaj Auto, Hero and Mahindra as top gainers while HUL also added one percent.
Among major losers in the Sensex were Dr Reddy's Labs, ONGC, Reliance, Coal India and Lupin.
