Former number one Martina Navratilova has said that Serena Williams is the clear favourite to win the French Open title.
Navratilova, who has been very much impressed with the way Serena has been playing, believes that she can still break Margeret Court's record of 24 grand slams, Sport24 reported.
Serena is eyeing for a third crown at the Roland Garros next week. And if successful, the American would move on to 20 triumphs, four short of all time best of 24.
Navratilova believes that despite of the injuries Serena would be able to write her name in the history books, adding that it would be a tall order for sure.
The retired Czech player said that the 19-time Grand slam champion has gone to the third gear after her loss to Virginie Razzano at the French Open three years ago.
Navratilova insisted that it was great to see the Champion player dominating the game in the last three years, especially at the age she was.
