Delhi unit BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday expressed grief over the murder of Dhruv Raj Tyagi in Moti Nagar area by goons and said a fast track court should be set up to ensure speedy justice to the victim's family.
"The incident is very heart-breaking and should be condemned by all. There should be no place for goondaism and urban Naxalism in our society. All of us demand stern action against the guilty. I demand fast track court for trials, in this case, to ensure speedy justice to the victim's family," Tiwari told reporters here.
Two days after Tyagi was stabbed to death for objecting to lewd remarks against his daughter in Delhi's Moti Nagar area, the victim's daughter alleged that the accused were drunk and the family of one of the accused encouraged him to carry out the violence.
"There are so many gangs in this area where they carry out all sorts of misdeeds. Even the person who stabbed my father was drunk that day and his family encouraged him to go ahead with the violence by passing on a knife to him," she said.
Tiwari also said the family members of the deceased "should be given adequate compensation and the members of the society should not remain mute spectators over such incidents."
The incident took place on Sunday night in Moti Nagar area of the national capital. The victim's son was also attacked and is undergoing treatment. All four accused in the case were arrested by the police.
