Condemning the gang-rape of a seven- year old girl in the national capital as "crime shame", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said the law should intervene into the matter.

"I think it's a crime shame that a little girl was gangraped. I would really like to know who these men are. Let's name and shame them, and find out more as to what made them do the thing that they did. I really think it is the responsibility of law and order and all of us to look into it," BJP leader Shazia Ilmi told ANI.

"Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was again making it an anti-Modi issue. They will not get away with it. He will have to work and the Delhi police have no choice but to work on this issue. It's very shameful...every time this happens, humanity dies. Instead of looking at the issue for what it is, let's not use children's and women's bodies for our own politics," she added.
