Criticising the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress Government in Haryana for 'non-performance' in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah asked the people to vote for the BJP in the state.

"Do all the places in Haryana get electricity? If not, then who is responsible? For the last ten years in Haryana, there was government led by Hooda. It is his government which is responsible," Shah said.

The BJP chief reminded the people that whatever promise the BJP government makes , it keeps them.

"Whatever dreams we promise, we even fulfill those as well. Wherever the BJP Government is ruling, each time they get re-elected, as we fulfill our promises," he added.

"In the BJP-ruled states, you will find ambulances laced with modern facilities reaching for senior citizens, children at their doorstep within ten minutes if they fall sick, will you find the same in Haryana," he further added.

Referring to the shelling from Pakistan along the Line of Control and the International Border, he said "Recently, there has been firing from across border; this happened earlier also, but today there is a difference which the Congress can't see, earlier when Pakistan used to start firing, it used to end as well, but now, when it starts, it is India which ends it."

Blaming the Congress government in the state responsible for farmers income nose-diving in the past few years, Shah said, "Once upon a time, the agricultural growth index in the state used to be the highest in the country, even the farmers income in Haryana used to be highest, but now this has sharply dropped and the chief minister keeps saying that he is the representative of the farmers."

"How much improvement has taken place in irrigation? Has his government built any research centre or used the agricultural scientists to improve the yield? In Madhya Pradesh, it is the BJP government which has increased agricultural produce above 15 percent. It is the BJP government in Gujarat which has ensured that the waters of the Narmada river reach every village," he added.

Haryana will go to polls on October 15 along with Maharashtra while the counting in both states will be held on October 19.
