Shakespeare's Globe set to take Hamlet on world tour

Shakespeare's Globe theatre is readying itself to take the play 'Hamlet' all over the world.

The ambitious tour is going to be marking two anniversaries - 23 April 2016 is 400 years since Shakespeare's death, however the upcoming events will also link in with the 450th anniversary of the Bard's birth next April.

The Globe's artistic director Dominic Dromgoole has described the world tour as 'a thrill.'

The theatre is going to spend two years touring Hamlet to almost 200 countries and will end on April 23, 2016, the BBC reported.

The artistic director said that that although the detailed planning is still to be done, he believes that they will do it pretty quickly their performance in Europe pretty quickly and just do one or two performances in every place.

He added that the team is hoping to do the Caribbean mainly by boat and the Pacific Islands is going to have a lot of plane hopping.
