Sharif defaming army, says Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is isolating the army.

Describing the Prime Minister as "the biggest security threat" to the country, PTI chief said, "Nawaz is seeking support from the Indo-Israeli lobby to safeguard himself and his corruption."

The cricketer-turned politician said that a controversial story published in an English daily was a "conspiracy against the army," while alleging that Sharif is bent on "defaming the military," reports the Express Tribune.

Imran claimed that each time he announces an action against Sharif's corruption, tensions escalate along the Line of Control. "This has now become a regular pattern," he added.

Remarking that the military effectively dealt with the Chotu gang, he said it might now need to tackle the Motu gang too.

Accusing the ruling ministers, the PTI Chairman said that they are constantly lying and blackmailing him to hide their corruption. He said that they are involved in propaganda against Shaukat Khanum Hospital whereas they are expected to take action when the offshore funds have been revealed in Panama Papers leaks.

Warning the rulers, Imran said that they will not be able to stop the masses from gathering in Islamabad during the planned protest against corruption on November 2.

He remarked that they will find no place to hide, not even an exit to Jeddah if they create a chaos to restrain the protesters.

Imran stated that the corruption of the rulers wasn't only affecting the country financially but also the two-nation theory. "Indian Muslims would think why a separate state was necessary when businessmen were to rule the country," he remarked.

On Sunday, Imran had said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be held accountable if a "third-force" comes into power as a result of his upcoming lockdown of Islamabad on November 2.
