Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has taken a swipe at rival China by urging the Asian nations to restraint from military expansion and do not waste dividend of growth on it.
Abe spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos referring to China, with whom it has been involved in territorial disputes from quite many years, the BBC reports.
He said that Japan has sworn an oath never again to wage a war, and wish for the world to be at peace.
The statement came as tensions become rife between Japan and China since the later established an Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) over the disputed East China Sea islands claimed and controlled by Tokyo, and a rock claimed by South Korea.
