Disturbed by the ink attack on Observer Research Foundation (ORF) chairman Sudheendra Kulkarni by the Shiv Sena, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Monday described it as its violent brand of vicious communalism and condemned wholeheartedly.

"I am deeply disturbed at this blackening of the face of Kulkarni and calling it bloody Indian. This is ridiculous. Kulkarni and Khurshid Kasuri have been working like I have been working for the peace between the two countries. It is the violent vicious communalism of the Shiv sena," Aiyar told ANI.

Aiyar said it is disgraceful that this has happened. It is unfortunate that an atmosphere of intolerance has been created in the country.

Array

"It is inevitable consequence of this muscular Hinduism called Hindutva which the RSS have been promoting for century. And which has now tragically come to political power," he added.

Array

Aiyar further said that these people are mistaking majority rule for majoritarian rule.

The Shiv Sena has been vehemently protesting against the launch of Kasuri's book, saying it was an insult to the Indian soldiers who had died in the recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan and had warned that there would be 'repercussions' if the event is not cancelled.
